I'll admit that I go through some television phases, but none was stronger last year than my addiction to Big Brother - All-Stars. Thursday at 7 p.m., it begins again with a fresh season of America's summer television pasttime.
Big Brother 8 is set for liftoff, and it's chock-full of twists.
First and foremost, houseguests will be paired, sort of, with their worst enemies. There will be 14 players, I presume, and seven of these people will find out tonight that their worst enemy will be playing the game against them.
What's next? Will CBS have crime victims play the game with their perpetrators? ... What Karen doesn't know is that her rapist, Johnny, is waiting outside the BB door, ready to compete for the $500,000 ...
Also, one of the players will be a mole, a mole for America. We'll tell the player what to do, how to vote, everything. Nice idea to make the summer event more interactive.
Finally, Showtime Too (ShoToo) will have three hours of uncensored coverage of the Big Brother house each night from midnight to 3 a.m., giving voyeurs the opportunity to sneak a peek at any possible sexual trystes. Truth is, I'm too poor for this option, but I'll definitely be looking to other BB fans for info on what Big Brother After-Dark is like.
Make fun of me all you'd like, but let the Big Brother blogging begin.
