Here's my first video-blog entry, thanks to a gadget from Pure Digital -- the point-and-shoot video camera. It's a genius product and damned inexpensive, too.

No, seriously, you look good; very relaxed in front of the camera. I like the videos of you just talking or playing your music. Can you take the camera with you outside or to work, etc? Do you think that it will lead to a total non-print blog, like watching the news?
These are strange days indeed.
I prefer to hide behind my mask of printed words, but then I sound like Minnie Mouse when I speak so it erases any authority that I might otherwise possess. Which brings to mind a question; would we have revered Shakespeare if we heard his works spoken with a lisp? Or would Edgar Allan Poe induce the same shudders if we heard his works read outloud, in a stutter? Not that either of them suffered from speech defects that I know of. I am merely pondering whether the most popular blogs will be determined by the "faces" and voices that read them as some people once asserted the news media did in the movie "Broadcast News" in 1987. If so, will we see a Cyrano de Bergerac scenario in the blogesphere?
I think that my blog as a depressed, middle-aged housewife will be received much better as read by Heidi Klum, don't you?
