Big Brother 8: Week 2 Nominations, POV Revealed

Am I pathetic or what? I actually watched all three hours of Big Brother After Dark on Showtime Too last night.

My buddy Toad had it recorded for the past several nights. No, he's not a fan of the show like I am; he's trolling for nudity. God bless him.

However, I watched all three hours and realized that I just can't have Showtime just to have this. I would watch it, and at three hours per day, that's a problem.

Nevertheless, we've learned that new Head Of Household Jen has nominated Dick and Daniele, the estranged father-daughter duo, for eviction. We also learn that Daniele has won the Golden Power of Veto again this week, meaning she'll likely remove herself from the eviction perch.

Last night's strategy talk centered on who Jen might put up against Dick, and while many believe Joe is the obvious choice -- believe it or not -- Zach is the popular choice to go up against Dick on Thursday. I couldn't determine whether it's because he's been so quiet, but he seems pretty vulnerable right now.

On the other hand, Zach might be well liked enough to survive a tet-a-tet with Dick. Many of the houseguests don't care for evel Dick's aggressive style, although a couple of them realize that his type of game play makes it such that they should keep him around awhile because of his volatility.

A play that hasn't gotten much discussion is that Daniele might choose not to save herself, forcing the other houseguests to pick between daughter and father. Personally, I don't think Daniele wants to do this. She's one of the favorites, I think, right now, although that logic didn't work last week when I recommended the houseguests vote to remove Amber.

Amber and Kail are handcuffed to each other, attached by a chain. Not sure why just yet. From what I could gather last night, Dick won't be getting either Amber or Kail's votes come Thursday.

Sexually ambiguous Nick folded laundry with Daniele at about 1 a.m. CDT and asked her, with that heavy Minnesota accent, when he would be able to kiss her on the "mooth" (mouth). We are very close to having our first showmance, and unfortunately, it seems to be the only showmance brewing right now.

Nick's attention toward Daniele is likely what got the skinny blonde nominated by Jen to begin with. I mean, Jen's already made it clear that she's attracted to Nick and that she doesn't like Daniele.

Some conversation suggests Jen might be considering nominating Nick to go up against Dick, prompting some criticism that Jen is playing the game personally instead of strategically.

As for America's player, Eric, we didn't see much of anything relating to tasks, as far as I could tell. However, a hottub scene during the live feed last night revealed that he has nipple rings, which kind of surprised me. It also kind of creeps me out.

Nevertheless, if you don't have Showtime and you really have the time to spend with Big Brother After Dark, it was better than I expected from the perspective of keeping up with the players and the game. Nothing too racy yet, but unless there are some surprising evictions over the next couple of weeks, we'll have some racy moments soon enough.
