Reveling In New England's Super Bowl Loss

And, all I have to say about New York's 17-14 win over New England is ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
I speak for all (well, at least many) professional sports fans when I suggest that any good karma Boston had built for itself within the sports world via the so-called curse of Babe Ruth is gone. Long gone.
Boston-area sports teams have been insufferable to watch as victors, and there is significant evidence suggesting the Patriots cheated in the 2002 Super Bowl.
Now, it's hard to say what will come of these new revelations associated with what's been called Spygate, but at the center of my disdain for Patriots football is Bill Belichick.
Truly, I like Tom Brady. Like Wes Welker (the most underrated receiver in football). I even like Randy Moss.
But I can't stand the Patriots organization. So smug. So above the law. Beyond reproach.
And while I was one of thousands reveling in the Patriots' upset win over St. Louis in 2002, I am pretty sure that win was tainted. Furthermore, when it comes to baseball, I find myself rooting for the Yankees more and more, particularly when they're playing Boston.
Everybody loves an underdog, but when that underdog gets too big for its britches, people love seeing that dog knocked down. So, color me thrilled that New York beat the Pats tonight. Sweeter than the win itself, the Giants' 17-14 win ended New England's perfect season.
The Pats wanted a chance at immortality tonight, and what they just got was infamy.
Now, let's go Yankees!
